Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tell us about your bargain!

I have just booked my skiing holiday for next year and wanted to share with you. I thought I would start a thread for those of you who wanted to share their bargain too. It is always good to see that you got a better bargain, or it may help if you know where you want to go and if someone else got a better deal, you could maybe ask them how they got their bargain! I will share my details.

I had actually priced this earlier in the year on the Crystal website and it was actually £1800 but when I repriced it about 2 months later, they had took the offer of the free skis and boots for kids and half price lift passes and the price had gone up to £2344. I was really annoyed they had removed this offer as if you look on the crystal site under valmorel then lift psases, the offer is still there! I asked to be put through to the complaints department and I had intended making a genuine complaint but he came back on the phone after abuot 2 mins and said "I think I have found a special code". He knocked the price down to £1970 so I snapped his hand off lol

here is what I got

Place: Valmorel France
Accomodation: Chalets du Valmorel
Board: S/C - apartment (2-5)

Hamish, Nassfeld transfer - we are doing by taxi. Could have rented car(s) but cost p/peerson worked out only slightly less than a cab, so not worth the hassle - we won't need a car in resort.

Your trip sounds very good value, can you PM details of your hotel for future reference ??

nbt thanks I am just about to book and I am really pleased any info would be great.

I like the idea of the snowtrain, I can leave work on Friday even, drive to ashford (2 hours) sleep on teh train and be on the slops by the sat am. Otherwise we normally would spend the whole of sat mucking around getting there and not skiing untilk the sunday. Just need to book it next week!!

 You know it makes sense.
You know it makes sense.
I suppose it’s what the definition of bargain is my diy trip is not the cheapest but from my point of view it’s the most relaxing and hassle free.

Thirty minute drive to Liverpool airport.
Flight to Innsbruck about £120 return including skis.
10 Euro taxi (transfer time ten minutes) to the wonderful family run hotel in the old (pedestrianised) part of the city of Innsbruck 35 Euro per night
The day starts with a great breakfast. Then decide which of the seven ski resorts in the area we will visit today,
Get on the free ski coach from around the corner from where we are staying.
Lift pass that covers all ski areas about £160 for the week.
On an evening large choice of bars and restaurants to choose from, the have quiet drink in the piano bar, or the not so quiet Irish bar.
Catch the civilized time flight of 11.30 am back to Liverpool.
