Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Medi-Dyne Prostretch - Stretching and Alignment and Forefoot Varus stroke Valgus

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Following some of the older posts, particularly 'Footbeds - Ouch' it was interesting to read how tight calves may cause forefoot varus or exacerbate ski boot induced forefoot varus or to actually quote CEM "one of the primary causes of loading of the lesser metatarsals as the foot rotates to compensate for this tightness".

As someone who was told (not by CEM or anyone else here) that my feet suffer from forefoot valgus while my rearfoot overpronates I have an interest in all this.

Currently I am on an unposted full length 'Le Feet Lab' footbed moulded weightlessly by Jacques Thomas in Winter Park which has provided far superior balance and comfort than all my posted and unposted Conformable footbeds moulded with weight bearing but unfortunately by over enthusiastic arrogant or ignorant staff.

The arrogant ones though they were making orthotics and overcorrected my feet with such a high arch that my feet were falling to the outside of the boots and causing all sorts of pain, and the ignorant ones just made comfortable but mostly useless and expensive ornaments.

Anyway, as someone who has always had tight calves and recently suffered during the Adaptive ski course at CFe as a result of my otherwise sedentary laptop based lifestyle, I have just taken ownership of a Medi-Dyne Prostretch and cannot recommend it highly enough. In fact I ordered two by accident so now the course trainer has one. Well it beats an apple.

The kid on the instructions looks exactly like the recent Diving Gold Medalist Tom Daley, so it may even help my swimming! Toofy Grin
