Having been in Calais at 10pm last summer, it's not a nice place, looks like it's even worse this summer...

....do not stop overnight and sleep in your car. These people are desperate, they do not get benefits in Europe as they are 'illegal'. All they want is to get to soft touch Britain where the pavements are paved with gold, money for nothing, accomodation, food, clothing, education, health facilities etc etc
This will just get worse and worse until we get a leader who says 'Enough is enough, close the borders, there will be no more illegal immigrants into Britain. If they want to come here then they have to go through the proper channels and apply for a visa like everyone else'

Until this spineless government is removed from office this conduct is going to continue. How anybody can still have faith in Labour is a mystery but it seems there are still enough misguided supporters to allow Labour to hang on until the next election. More likely they realize that once the election comes they also will be out in the cold. Brown has proved himself a total disaster as Prime Minister, lacking leadership and inspiring trust.
As Chancellor he fared no better. Having made a mess of that government role he is now well on the way in his present role to complete the downfall of a once great country.No Mr. Brown finances and politics are not your forte.
For the sake of the country enough is enough. Call an election and go and write your memoirs.
Is any wonder that the British National Party is gaining so much popularity? It seem to be the only party prepared to put the welfare of Britain and the British people first.

We can all see how treacherous and scandalously criminal what Nu-labour are doing so to destroy this once great nation, and both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats are not that far behind too...I'am afraid there is no other option but to vote for the BNP and also let's get out of the EEU.
Like I said in my previous posting, these individuals who want to come to the UK are no professional individuals, just plain labourers, of which the majority are professional criminals They are attracted to the UK because they are being told that they will receive all the benefits they will apply for and that they will be given a home, but also because of the Olympic games where they could make a lot of money from their criminal activities.
Crazyhorse is right too when he says that due to the influx of these illegal it has created a crime epidemic throughout Europe, of which we the decent taxpayers of Europe have to face on a daily basis and not those **** bags of MPs who live in great ivory towers.

The enemy is not in Afghanistan - it's in Downing Street. Like us, the French are exasperated at the fact that Britain is a SOFT TOUCH for illegal immigrants. Failed asylum applicants are now apparently to receive free NHS treatment here - NO WONDER THEY ARE QUEUING UP IN CALAIS.
WHY ON EARTH DID SO MANY OF OUR SOLDIERS DIE IN TWO WORLD WARS? AND WHY ARE THEY STILL DYING IN AFGHANISTAN? FOR WHAT?

I've used the Dover - Calais ferry many times in both directions and never experienced anybody knocking on my window trying to sell me stuff!

Just use Norfolk line - they go from Dunkerque, are cheap and have nice, newer boats (I don't why that should be a big deal, but I'm a woman!)

Pretty much every time I drive along that bit of autoroute (Rocade Est?) up to the port I see them loitering usually trying to cross the autoroute, and sometimes in the middle waiting for a gap before sprinting across the 2nd carriageway.
Will certainly be locking doors when driving up that bit in future.
Dover *always* has someone trying to sell me essential goods to drive on the continent. Can't the prats see that my car has a German Reg. Plate and a steering wheel on the left!?

????? ..these people are advising you what you should have... it isn't the cheap sell implied here as high vis and beam deflectors etc etc are legal requirements abroad.........bla bla
It is a pertinemt reminder first and foremost and the first indicator that people may not be quite aware of these 'rules' is that the High vis is not on display in the car, for example...
These same people will be the first to moan if the French pull them up
