marcellus, I'll be staying in Flaine that week and will be going down to see the race go through Araches. Any thoughts on where to park up and watch the race go through? Where are you going to be watching from?

Hi Chris, we'll be in a friends garden on the road to St Sig..... I think the Araches corner will be heaving.... might be worth parking up at the Equestrian Centre and walking down as far as you can be bothered!!
Looking at the timings from la Balme to Araches will be taking them 17/20 minutes!!

The web site PlanetSKI is there and has some great coverage of what's going on - http://www.planetski.eu/news - including the news of an outbreak of swine flu at a school just yards from the finish line. 14 people have it and the place has been quarantined apparently. The guy who runs PlanetSKI, James Cove, is based in Verbier and is a snowhead too!
