Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Who are Interski?

I always thought they were some sort of TO but in Courmayeur last season, they were everywhere, matching jackets, branded equipment, etc.

Then, lo and behold, just popped out to get some petrol and the car behind mine, in an inocuous corner of Nottinghamshire, was emblazoned with 'interski.co.uk'!

I'm quite intrigued...

Interski's head office is in Mansfield I think. They are a British tour operator specialising in school and family holidays to the Aosta valley, providing their own instruction services mainly with British instructors.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

They are a good tight outfit. We've been with them as a school party, and most of our holiday skiing in the last 10 years has been with them.

queen bodecia, Not to be confused with the Interski Congress. When BASI people talk of the Interski Demo team this is what they're referring to:

beanie1, Interski Congress. Definition Where all the ski instructors head off to the alberg or some other fancy resort on a big wee wee up and pretend to be talking about skiing?

rob@rar, ah, that explains the link between Notts and Courmayeur then. I thought it rather strange that I logo I saw so often in Courmayeur should crop up in Rainworth of all places! Now I know.

I hadn't heard of Interski Congress, but I'm not even an aspiring BASI person.

Do you think Jacko tried to sue this mob for bringing the reputation of childmolesters into disrepute with their 80s outfits and poor correography?

fatbob, funny, but considering that's (IIRC) quite recently it's shocking. + the synchonicity was very poor - our summer campers didn't do much worse on just their second attempt! Shocked

easiski, think back to the late 80's there was a UK instructors comp called instructors galore..... the rossignol open challenge, which was a wee wee up (i remember ,rather don't remember much about a very drunken session in Harrogate) at a nominated slope and a demo competition.... followed by more drinking then a race the next day..... It normally made for a good weekend out, the slope i worked for won it several years in a row..... when it came to our turn to host the event...all of a sudden no one could make it (didn't want to travel north of the border) and the event died off

some slope sent 2 or three representatives, some sent a few car loads or a minibus...we sent a full 49 seat coach, 20 on the demo team and the remainer for support and to pay the bar bill Toofy Grin Toofy Grin

BTW our sycronicity was one hell of a lot better than that vid Toofy Grin
