I've just booked a room for me and my son and booked our ferry crossing.................. for another summer week in LDA.
It's a great place for a summer break as there is lots to do apart from skiing. This will be our 5th summer break there.
We will be staying in Hotel La Meije from 18-25 July. It is a very lively hotel run by Chris who owns Smokey Joes. The hotel isn't 5 star but it is clean and comfortable, with a good bar, sunny location and very friendly atmosphere.
We had a terrific week there last year and can't wait to go back.

If the Lutins is open in the summer, I would strongly recommend it. Friendly owner (Cathy), great value and in pole position in the resort. B&B only, though.

I agree achilles, we stayed in Les Lutins 3 years ago - it is across the road from La Meije, but it is very quiet and we like to mix in with a crowd.

Don't forget take your downhill bike for when the snow melts too much.
