I am planning a trip to Austria in March 2010 but want to build the trip myself rather than a package through a tour operator. The problem I have is that I can't seem to find flights from Manchester (or Liverpool) going to Salzburg or Innsbruck on a Saturday which is when most private apartments have their change over days.
Is anyone aware of flights I can book on a Saturday (I'm willing to go from other airports in northern England) or decent accomodation with change over days on a Sunday (I can fly with Easyjet to Innsbruck).

SCollier1, Past few years Thomsonfly have done that service but it doesn't appear at the moment. I am hoping a schedule including ski flights will be announced at some time.

Lufthansa were going to Munich cheap last year, Thomsonfly were the only airline flying direct to Salzburg and I think easyJet were flying to Innsbruck from Liverpool.
But I don't think any of the airlines have put the winter schedules up yet, I was looking for the same flights last week. IIRC from last year it was about August when they went up.

Thomsonfly have Saturdays flights to both Innsbruck and Salzburg from Manchester but at the moment they are only sold as part of a TUI package. I think nearer the time it is possible to book flight only and some flight/transfer options.

Thomson will be available manches to salz on line from end of july and so will monarch. You can book through an approved operator now but they will be about 250. expect to find 100-150 each from july.
