Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alain Baxter aims for the olympics - despite retiring?

Just seen this on the BBC, Alain Baxter is aiming to compete in Track Cycling in the 2012 Olympics. He was pretty handy on the bike in Superstars, so this could be a great switch. Has anyone won medals in bothe Winter and summer olympics (I still insist he won that bronze!)

he was in that road race in Scotland recently that got cancelled due to protesters (think the whole team were actually), and did say in some interviews when he retired that it was something that was bugging him - ie to find out if he could make it at top level on the bike! Would be a pretty big story if he does go. Great question about both winter and summer olympics, and yes Baxter came 3rd in the Olympics in Salt Lake!
