Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hestra XCR how dry are they?

Having decided to fork out the $ to buy a decent pair of gloves i've done some research and found the Hestra Heli and XCR to be strongly recommended. However being a beginner boarded im using my hands to get up quite a bit, and found my previous gloves to get quite wet.

How well do the XCR's hold out the wet if they are used relatively often for getting up? Im just a little concerned since the Heli has a removable liner which makes for easy drying (but no gore-tex), however the XCR with the gore-tex doesnt have a removable liner which would make the glove easier to dry.

Cheers Very Happy

WhatMACHI, Welcome to SnowHeads. Hubby has Hestra XCR's they're fine for him, but he's a skier not a boarder.

Search Hestra XCR, there are a few threads (I just checked) but nipping out so don't have time to link them all.

I have a pair of alpine pro hestra gortex (older than XCR), the removable liner is just a thin glove, means i can use it in the spring when its warmer. However all the hestra gloves i have seen (or used) have leather palms and have a tag stating not for snowboarding? If the leather gets very wet they are a bit of a pain to dry out, but my hands have always been dry and warm inside them.
