Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Martin Bell skis Castleford Snozone with his racing daughters

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Ex-Olympic British skier Martin Bell recently skied at the X-scape, Castleford, with his two young daughters Reece and Imogen. And one of them had comments on the snow: "A little bit icy in the ruts".

Do we have two new female racers in the offing?

This report from The Big Sky Weekly

The following comments suggest that Martin is in no hurry to repatriate:

Quote:
So let us ponder for a while those less fortunate than ourselves, the poor dwellers of the flatlands or the tropical zones. These people are so starved of snow that they manufacture it, at great expense, and store it in large refrigerated sheds, just so that they can slide down it on planks, whenever they feel like it.

He has news on a US snowdome that's been talked about for years:

Quote:
So far, the USA has been left out, but that is about to change; an indoor slope is due to open later this year at Meadowlands, New Jersey, as part of the “Xanadu” complex.

Check out the "don't use the word "snowdome"" comment from "Anonymous" below the article!

Who is that feckin idiot

"SnowDome is our company name, a registered trade mark and it should not be used as a generic name for other unrelated indoor snow centres in the UK"

I,ll use the word SnowDome whenever, however I feckin like!

His name, I believe, is Mark Trade. You seem him popping up all over the place, insisting that words are his property.

One of those words is 'trademark'. Apparently Mark Trade has trademarked the word 'trademark', and you're therefore not allowed to use it.

Another one is 'hoover'. Don't ever say to your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend "I'm going to hoover the carpet, dear", because a team of lawyers will enter your living room and serve an injunction on you.

To be honest, some of the operators of other indoor slopes that are not the Snowdome, also have been known to get a bit tetchy when their slopes are described as "snowdomes"!

Nice article, achilles - I like the term genericide.

Let's think of a new name:
Snowhome
Snow-den
SnowFactory (but perhaps that should be SnowFactor-e)
or maybe just 'indoor artificial snow slope'
