Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski language update for 2010, from Freeskier magazine

Firstly, it's quite fun to watch this one-minute video of Travis Redd (presumably the guy in red), because it's a classic in grabbing opportunities from the most boring ski slope on planet earth:

Now for the fun bit, from Freeskier Magazine (recommended for skiing pedants, spelling-whingers and grammar grumpies):

Travis Redd: The Interview

A really boring interview, including:

Quote:
I never started skiing with intention of being a pro I just skied because that was what I did and that was what I loved. It just so happened that I was good enough to make a little doe while I did it.

He had sex with a deer?

Quote:
A few weeks before we went to Switzerland the Liberty crew and I went to Jackson Hole where we shredded some gnar and met a lot of cool people.

Good new word!

Quote:
Once I have mastered this I will return back to the mountains to keep doing the things that I love most in the world, like dropping pillows or finding that blunt grab between my fingers as I fly off what ever gets in my way.

Two good phrases: anyone know what "dropping pillows" or "blunt grab" mean? Can you learn these in Hemel Hempstead?

dropping pillows = riding/skiing over the mounds of snow that build up over rocks in places like canada or japan. there's so much snow, the formation looks like a pillow.

blunt grab = skateboarding trick see here for trick by guy in santa hat
