Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Full custom ski boots in Val D'Isere - Recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi Guys,

I'm after a pair of fully customised ski boots - linings, footbeds the lot.

Im just finishing a season out here and will be back next year therefore i thought it makes sense to try and get them now (potential end of season discount) and out here so i can sort out any problems with them next season.

Anyway of all the contacts i have out here, nobody has any real suggestions on where to go other than the usual "erm...maybe Surefoot if you're loaded". I will be giving them a go to see what they can offer, but just wondered if anyone has any other recommendations?

Cheers,

Paul

I think Nevada Sport in Tignes Le Lac is well regarded, not in Val but not far away. I think the guy's name is Frank, he relieved a couple of pressure points in my own boots a couple of years ago.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

precision ski used to be the place to go, but ownership changed a few years back and staf have changed on an annula basis since so not sure what they are still like.....may be worth popping in to snowberry and having a chat with jock if he is around, he owned precision before he sold it and if they are not doing fitting he will know who is..if you do end up in surefoot get MArk [the manager] to fit you..he worked for precision years back....

if not there then nevada sports in tignes had a good rep

but bootfitting is one of those things, if there is a boot which fits you in the sale it may be a bargain, if it doesn't fit you then it could be an expensive mistake

good luck
