Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Philip Anschutz, who operates the O2 (former Millennium Dome) and Thames Clipper catamaran fleet in London, has sold the Winter Park Ski Train which has served the US resort from Denver since 1940. It will now cease operations because the rolling stock has been bought by a Canadian company.

How sad.
We had several holidays in Winter Park in the 1990s and the sound of the Ski Train's horn was one of the most evocative sounds of WP.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There's no source. This is coming to you live from Denver and the River Thames.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

By the way, for those who want an Anschutz experience that doesn't include a ski train, the Thames Clipper boats mentioned above are about the best thing in London at the moment. They go every 20 minutes between the London Eye pier and the O2. They have an open deck at the back and a coffee bar inside and the one-way ticket is only £5. When you get east of Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf they speed up to what must be about 40/50 mph by rising up on their twin hulls. Very impressive:

It's reported on the Denver Examiner (where else?)

Nobody rides trains in America! Not a surprise it is much easier to drive from Denver to Winter Park than take the train.
