Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

for the last few years we have been going to Sierra nevada and Andorra, it is with a heavy heart i have agreed to go somewhere else next year, we are a group of about 6 4 half decent skiers and 2 novices, not bothered about a few hours drive from airport(2-3 hours) to resort, obviously decent snow required and half decent night life. Any ideas, looking at flights at mo £60 return to Geneva from Liverpool with easyjet so thats prob where we are flying to.

For a mixed ability group... the obvious would be Les Arcs, Alpe d'Huez or L2D. If you were all intermediate and upwards VD might be a good bet.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Alright Jason.
Val d' is sound, couple of hours from Geneva, great nightlife & skiing but for a gang of lads on the pop it's really expensive. We tend to have a weekend there early season. If you can get in a catered chalet it's not too bad. Check out skival, they do a cheap chalet hotel, The Chamious Dor (real dodgy spelling) it's called.
Val Thorens is snow sure and not bad of a night, also in the 3V Meribel is lively, but not as snow sure as the other two.
If you haven't booked your flights yet it's a crackin shout by Frosty the Snowman, we went to Saalbach second week in March 2007, to be fair the skiing was a write off due it being a freakishly hot week but the nightlife was class! We stayed in the Hotel Panther, pool, sauna the works. Would love to go back in good conditions.
Aint been but L2D is meant to be good of a night.
Depending on when your going Avoriaz normally has good conditions, nightlife aint bad.
Let's know where you end booking.

Lucan, We go for a lads holiday to Avoriaz most years, but at our age we prefer a good meal and wine rather than what the OP possibly means by decent night life!

I have not found too many places except the Place and Choucas that has been lively at night! Mainly restaurants, a couple of bars that are sedate, with some of them sports bars where the giant TV screen is the attraction.

JasonW, I would look at one of the Austrian resorts that others have mentioned. Have fun wherever you go!

Hope i come under the Half decent catagory Jase, might relegate myself to the novice group and join you on big boys ski's instead of blades. although if it means a few extra beer tokens to not hire ski's il stick with the "kiddy ski's".

Quite like Roger's suggestion and just booking whilst its cheap and wel worry about the other minor details later.

Hope your not getting sun stroke in Spain.

Munich flights are usually cheap too, Mayrhofen must be a possibility for a boys' trip surely?
