Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sorry NBT - Crystal have cancelled our booking at Club Hotel Totem, but have offered Club Hotel Turquoise at La Plagne (Belle Plagne) as an alternative.

I can organise a cheap week in Blackpool in July for you if you like. snowHead

bryanbolton, some reviews from tripadvisor.com.

Belle Plagne is probably the best place to stay of all the bits of La Plagne.

Crystal web entry on this hotel.

We stayed there a few years ago. bit like converted Pierre & Vacences apartments. Food wasnt special, run by kids, typical clubhotel etc etc, but it really is ski in/ski out, right on the blue that runs through the village we went late in the season and the snow was great. Its up in the highest bit of LP, and the bubble to the top of the system and the glacier runs right thru the village.

They have built a village on the Glacier??????? I'd avoid this place at all costs in 200 years as La Plagne 2000 with be La Plagne 400 wink

bryanbolton, stayed at Turquoise 2006. Hard to beat location - right on slopes and beside ski school meeting point. We had booked into sc apartments but after complaining about how sh#t they were we got moved to the Turquoise, so we were pretty chuffed with it. Food was fine (even get proper cooked breakfast) and we thought all the staff were good. We had a cracking duplex room, which was twice the size of an apartment that alegedly slept 7 (we are a famiy of 5). From what I can gather reading reports about Le Totem, it will certainly be no worse.
We had a good holiday, although we do prefer going to Austria nowadays

Mikeh, depends on who is running the Clubhotel - if it is someone good like ski Olympic, Mark Warner, Club Med then it wont be at all like the experience you have described. However, if you are totally price led and opt for the mainstream "stack em high sell em cheap" operators then that will be your experience. Try booking through an independent ski travel agent that will offer impartial advice and make direct comparisons of the operators eg www.snowfinders.com or www.alpineanswers.co.uk or www.skisolutions.co.uk.
