Does anyone know if a non-cab transfer is do-able from either Zurich or Friedrichshafen (sp?) to Ischgl?

red 27,
From Zurich you can get a train to Landeck and then post bus some hotels will meet trains at Landeck I think, we were offered this on our first visit a while back. No idea re Friedrichshafen.

T Bar, Garfield, thanks guys - ah yes, I see my error, I was looking on the sbb.ch site, not oebb.at...
Makes it very doable indeed

I've always hired a car from Friedrichschafen as the public transport options were a bit like planes trains and automobiles!

red 27, Or you could get a taxi from Landeck. Takes about 35 minutes, costs about €60.

SnowGod,
Corky, thanks, but travelling solo taxis are out of my range... I see the bus is 7€

red 27,
The train should be on SBB site too. Reason I am writing this is that for my recent trip Zurich/Langen (same train as Landeck) I couldn't book seats on line at OEBB site but I did book on SBB.
-10 degrees... yummmi, perfect temps!

Right, thanks - I think I was using the wrong Landeck! Landeck-Zams is apprently the one I need and there is indeed a direct train from Zurich taking about 3 hours, but there seems to be only one a day, so one needs to be careful to coordinate flight times... I'm pre-planning next year, sadly my season is over, but at least it was an epic one...
