Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

i want to go skiing!!!! obvious really. I have a friend (yes, all of one of them) but we cannae co-ordinate a whole week. Soooo, is there a simple way of organisaing budget trip, perferably package, short of a week. OK, i know i could spend hours on internet piecing together flights, accomm, transfer but would it end up being cheaper to get a TO? ANY advice useful as Ive always gone TO for a packaged week before. cheers

nother question - if peicing trip together, ive only ever seen week long chalet booking - where do you find less than a week availability at a reasonable price?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

i might have something for you - maybe 2nd-6th april? in morzine. you would have to book your own flights but the chalet would handle transfers etc....

let me come back to you

If you can afford it, then the easiest way to do a weekend is to use a tour op who specialise, e.g. Ski-Weends.com. You'll pay through the nose for it though, it's usually more expensive than a week as you have to use scheduled flights etc. Alternatively try JOanne@ mountainsun, they do cheap 3 day breaks and can organise transfers. meaning you only need the flights

bitoffluff, I can sort everything (transfers, catered chalet, ski hire, lift passes and lessons too if needed) out for you except flights.......... Geneva airport only 50minutes away... 4th largest area..................... ensuite rooms, great cooking, good wines, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 nights not an issue...........

Several :snowheads: have been to us...................

Flights can also be very cheap........... anyone trying to charge a premium for a short break should be shot............. anything longer than an hours transfer is dead time!!

Hi,
Ive done this a few time for a cheap ski trip.

Get a easyjet flight to Innsbruck, (daily gatwick, three time a week Bristol and weekly Liverpool)

Take a 10 euro taxi ride to innsbruck. Were i stay in a great B&B in the old town area (lots of charm and choice of eating places)

Hire my ski gear from a shop at the end of the street, get a ski pass from the tourist office around the corner.

Take the daily free ski bus from the corner of the street to one of the six ski resorts within innsbruck area.

I can send you the web address of the B&b and ski hire shop.

Hope this of some use Very Happy

kabby, There is a tourist office at the main train station in Innsbruck - just roll up there and they will ring around all the B&Bs that fit your budget and requirements to check for vacancies (or at least they did that for me a couple of years back...)
