i'm looking to go on a solo ski trip hopefully in region of £550 for accomodation, flights, transfers, hire.
any advice on resorts which look likely to have decent snow in april?

morningtoncrescent, Welcome to
Why not consider the EoSB in Val Thorens?

morningtoncrescent,
Two companies that offer "single" share options are YSE (Only operate in Val D'Isere) and Mark Warner. You book as a single, no single supplement and take the chance you may have to share a room with another single sharer. Both of these TOs are very good.
MW also offer ski hosting so you will always have people to ski with.

morningtoncrescent,
The snow in Tignes in April will still be great. Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret are two of the highest resorts at 2100 metres above sea level, Tignes Les Brevieres is about 1350 metres. I don't know where the UCPA is in Tignes.
The Espace Killy lift pass is about £200 for 6 days. Food and drinks outside of your accommodation is expensive so take advantage of any UCPA facilities they may offer eg packed lunches etc. so it may be an idea to take a back pack and drink system with you.

BrandyBrandy, It isn't generally a good idea to post your email address in an open forum. Ask other posters to PM (Private Message) you if they want to get in touch, and you can then exchange emails by PM.
It would be sensible to edit your post now to remove your email address.
