Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi We are going to Valfrejus in March and wondered is anyone could advise on good reasonable places to eat out in the village and what prices we can expect to pay. This is our first trip since the euro got nasty and we keep hearing horror stories from friends about £8 pints etc.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I get the impression Valfrejus is a completely different resort from those that you will find in the mega ski areas of France where you will find the ridicolous prices.
Therefore I imagine the prices will be much lower and although things will have become more expensive. Prices will still likely to be reasonable.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Can anyone add to this? I'm also interested.
Thanks

Yes, it is a very small modern resort up the mountain from Modane (the hinge of the upper and lower Maurienne). Mostly used by French families so you will find it quite cheap - both for skiing and food.
I have only been there for the day when skiing the Haute Maurienne off piste so I've no specific idea about restaurants.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

kevin.alyceclark,
Although its always been relatively 'expensive' to drink 'out' in France so doubt your beer will be that much less than E8 pint; wine is always a better alternative in France ( i.e. cheaper )
