Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Geneva airport on a Saturday morning

I've used Geneva many times ,usually it is calm and orderly midweek.
My question is how chaotic can it get on an average Sat morning?
My flight lands at 0955 and a transfer is booked for 10.30am ish.
Should we be able to get away quickly to Verbier in order to get an afternoons skiing in? I have never had a problem before.
If it is a Snowy transfer day is it usually bad getting up the hill or worse for those coming back to Geneva.

hedley, Scheduled or charter flight?

In my (limited) experience, they seem to deal with the baggage from charter flights whenever they have a few spare minutes between scheduled ones, so it could easily take more than the 35 minutes you have allowed to get your baggage if you are on a charter flight.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

depends on the timing of the snow. If it's been heavy overnight and early in the morning it can be difficult getting out of resorts and down the road, but once cleared, will be easier later in the day for people arriving. And vice versa if it starts snowing later in the day. If it snows all day.....

Also depends on the day. I've breezed up at the end of the New Year week, with solid, stopped, traffic on the road down.

And finally, on whether there are any small skids/shunts/cars in the ditch needing to be pulled out by a tow truck parked obliquely across the road.

There's no possible way of knowing. I meet people at Geneva and am always pleasantly surprised how fast they come out (though they generally don't bring skis - the skis can be a while arriving, sometimes. But that's always on scheduled flights; no idea about charters.

Charter can sometimes go to a different terminal as well where they give you the special "charter service".
