Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chalet, Brigette - Selva

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My husband and I are thinking of staying at Chalet Brigette in Selva in March. I can't seem to find any reviews about the chalet. The deals I'm finding seem very cheap and I'm wondering how good the accommodation / food etc is. If anyone's stayed there please can they let me know. Thanks...

kathmacks, Was there a few years ago. Its a bit of a walk to the Gondola but we left our gear in the garage of another chalet across the road from it Smile

Food was good as I remember, but that obviously changes year to year. Our room was a decent size on the top floor, wood panelled, traditional inside with ensuite, but in the eaves. The bathroom was also in the eaves and I had to kneel in the bath to use the shower. I believe though these rooms are now used for staff rather than punters Madeye-Smiley I would advise you to check if you're concerned.

It wasnt too far to stagger back to and we did enjoy our stay there.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

kathmacks, welcome to SnowHeads ! snowHead

I stayed 10 years ago when it was run by Thomson, my first ski trip, we had a comfortable en-suite room with glazed door onto a balcony, food and service was excellent, run by a married couple in late 20's, he was a trained chef and she was a friendly host, rep was a no-nonsense ex-army guy, but staff tend to change from year to year and I don't know whether renovations have been done recently, dining tables look different to when we were there, curtains and sofas don't though! Confused

Location is quite a hike in ski boots up to the gondola & chair on the Sella Ronda, but the ski-bus that runs up and down stops about 150m away, costs about €6 for the week, I think you can ski back quite close though, we didn't as we were at ski school, but some on here who stayed at the nearby Hotel Flora said so. I think it's not far off the red variant of the men's downhill run.

You'll love Selva and the area, beautiful scenery, loads of skiing, nice huts, good snow this year! snowHead
