Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Half-term accomodation in Switzerland?

Hi, newbie here and hoping you can help with a last-minute request for a one-bed apartment in Villars, Les Diablerets or Leysin over half-term 14-21 Feb?
Definately have to be within 1-2 hours of Geneva and close to Montreux.

Also keen to find a 3-week rental (start date 14-16 Feb) in Leysin - family member is attending a course there.

I wish you luck in your search, you'll almost certainly need it this close to the date (most half-term accommodation is booked up months in advance).

I've found this in Leysin, a bit bigger (and possibly more expensive) than you might have wanted, but have a check around similar sites and you might (just might) chance upon something.

Thanks, skisimon, much appreciated. Yeah, I know I'll have to get very lucky with half-term dates: that place looks lovely. And Leysin would be ideal.

I've just noticed a "Chalets and Aps" sections - duh! - so maybe if I post there, too? Hope this is ok.

The week after half term is Fasching week too. That is a very busy week in Switzerland. The apartment I have booked in Zermatt for half term was even more expensive the next week. Good Luck!
