Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know what Garni Emma in Arabba is like?

Tried google, etc, but struggling to find much mention at all. Just looking for cheap and cheerful, but want to be reassured that it at least meets minimum standards.

Many thanks!

Haven't stayed there, but pretty sure its just next door to the Colletts Chalets where I stayed last week. To be honest I couldn't say there was anywhere in Arabba that looked dodgy.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Was in Arabba a couple of weeks ago. Remember seeing Garni Emma, but couldn't tell you what it's like to stay in.

I stayed in Garni Erica - can definitely recommend that as fairly cheap and very cheerful. Nothing spectacular, but - big warm cosy bedroom, clean big bathroom, ski room and decent breakfast. Lovely host too.

Mustgotobed, don't know about garni Emma but have just had a week in a cheap & cheerful B&B in arabba which I found through Sueski you could try pm'ing her or check her website ( www.simplydolomiti.com). She has contacts with a number of the local pensions, small hotels etc as well as being able to organise transfers, lift passes & ski hire if needed.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for all the advice! Just doing a long weekend in mid-March which I think is part of the problem - struggling to find places which will take us for less than a week, especially since the timing overlaps two normal ski-weeks. Have learnt lesson for next time - will aim to arrive on Sat!
Had a look at the site you suggested - will probably try contacting them, but at a more socialable hour of the day!
