Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all
long time to typing Smile
We are thinking of trying to get a week in early March and are looking for advice on resorts. Sadly it's only a week so rules out west coast of Canada and states.
Pretty open to most places?
Had wondered about East coast Canada:~/ or somewhere in Europe

Both of us are intermediate, though but rusty (not been for couple of years, though have doen about 7-8 weeks in total) Been to Andorra and Whistler a few times and Austria once.
like blues and reds, not into extreme stuff. More fun rather than anything else. somewhere we can go for a nice get away for two of us Smile (Might splash out on hotel a bit and go to a 4 star)
any ideas? thanks

rob and sharon, If you fancy France then we have space for 2 at the beginning of March in Alpe d'Huez. Great ski area for some cruising reds and blues and some great food in our chalet to go with it! We also offer discounts to fellow snowheads so please just get in touch if you are interested! snowHead

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you go to France, wait till the second week in March, as the first week is still the French school hols - the second week you'll find quieter pistes, though it's a popular week so it won't be deserted.

If you fancy something more "different" with no British TOs, the 3* Hotel Calgary in Les Saisies is very nice, with a swimming pool (indoor!) which can look very inviting and cosy as you go up over the top on a freezing chairlift. Loads of blues and reds - ski right across to Praz sur Arly.

How about a 4* apartment in Grimentz, Switzerland. Available in March.

You could also have a look on Ebay, seems to be quite a lot on there at the moment.

rob and sharon, if you are thinking about Eastern Canada then you might as well go west. Better resorts, Better snow and cheaper. There is a brand new 5* catered chalet in Kimberley offering some fabulous deals at the moment. check out www.sunshine-chalet.com plus there are plenty of good self catering deals available here. Snow is great, resort is quiet in March and there are never lift lines outside the main holiday period. Very Happy

Are, Sweden, very civilised and almost certainly price competitive with Europe given the state of the Euro/pound. We had a great holiday there in March with lovely uncrowded pistes, sunny skies and loads of snow! Short flight and transfer too
