Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Past thursday we flew from Barcelona to Munchen, to ski in St Anton.
During the flight we can enjoy a massive aerial views to the Alps,..it was incredible.

We entered to land from the Mediterranean Sea above Marsella, and then we flew through France and Italy. Finally we went in north east direction to Munchen.

These are the photos that I did:

metalhead132, great stuff. Last time we flew home from Milan we crossed right over the Pennine and Berner alps. Amazing stuff, I had a really sore neck afterwards though. Confused

The flight over the Alps from London to Turin is always a joy.

Normally have views down over the Tarentaise, Annecy and just see the peaks of the Ecrins. On the otherside of the plane you are looking over the Mont Blanc Massif. When doing this journey when they are snow clad and the valleys are all covered in the white stuff is very special. Gets you all pumped for the skiing that is awaiting you.

metalhead132, great photos, nice clear skies, you were busy on that flight. I also love trying to spot different peaks, valleys and resorts when flying. From the UK, it's flights to Italy that usually give the best views. On the flight to Verona a few weeks ago we got a good view of the Zugspitze, the Inn Valley, the Oetztaler Alpen and a distant view of the Dolomites where we were heading.
