Poster: A snowHead
|
Charles Starmer-Smith heads for St Anton in a campervan with three friends, quoting snowHeads as his first port of call for info:
this interesting and entertaining report from Telegraph.co.uk
Quote: |
"Campervan... skiing... Alps." I typed in the words and pressed the search button.
"No. You will die," said the first link I opened.
Die? The advice on the Snowheads message board, an online forum for skiers, stopped me in my tracks. I knew taking a campervan to the Alps might not be the smartest idea – the lack of comfort, unpleasant odours, even mild hypothermia, I was prepared for – but I did not think my mortality would come into the equation. |
It seems that he didn't die, unless he typed the article from beyond the grave. Who was responsible for "No. You will die"? Come on ... own up!
The last person I saw reading the Telegraph in a ski resort was some old duffer on the Wengen commute up to Kleine Scheidegg. The crunch has clearly crumbled.
Campervans!

I think Lizzard would make a very good journalist; or, at any rate, a very employable one.

Blimey - if we're all going to start being quoted in teh Telegraph, we should have some form of copyright on our posts.

Splendid. Does this mean I should sue someone for breach of copyright?
