Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi All

Anybody got any good itinerarys for Grand Massif. No Black runs, maybe some easy reds. Cheers Gaz

It's easy enough - Grand Massif express lift to Samoens 1600 followed (I think) by the little Damoiseaux lift. Then either Chariande 1 lift, hop across to the bottom of the Croix lift up to Tete des Saix, or Chariande 2, down Gouilles to the Gouilles lift also up to Tete des Saix. Then take Silice (or the Sortilege red for a bit of fun) followed by Dolomie, and the Vernant chair to take you up to Grands Vans. From there it's Tourmaline down into Flaine!

Okay, sounds a bit of a handful and it does take a little while, but there's some good runs round Samoens too. Marmottes is a nice red, and up in the Flaine bowl you have Cristal and Serpentine (and the enjoyable little off-piste in between) and the reds of Lucifer and Faust. And you'll have to try Mephisto Superieure and the other reds that stem from it!

Am out there myself from Saturday, although skiing from Morillon (just along the valley). Hope you have a great time!

It will be pretty obvious when you get up the Grand Massif Express (GME). Just follow everyone wink . They have done a new piste back from Tete des Saix which I haven't tried yet and next year there will be the new Chariande Express from the GME arrival to the top of Tete des Saix. It will then take 7 mins to Tete des Saix instead of the current 25mins with Chariande I + La Croix so you will have to come back next year. There will be new MGM accommodation available too at the bottom of the GME so keep an eye on http://www.peakretreats.co.uk/ski/samoens.htm

DJADS, We experienced huge half term queues out of Samoens on the GME, so went to the little red eggs from Verchaix, which were much speedier, but you do need a car for that option. If you're off in 2 weeks you should miss the horror week however. Great snow from the looks of the aircraft window when we flew out of GVA yesterday. wink
