Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dynastar Exclusive Legend - ladies ski

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I hired these this week in Lech as it was snowing quite a lot and I wondered if a fatter ski might be better on the softer snow. These skis ( 114-75-102) have 5cm more underfoot than my Volkls. I found the Legend quite soft but really easy to ski and good fun. I also did a reasonable amount off piste and it was a whole load easier than in my Volkls. I think next time I would try some even wider skis.

Carved turns, all shapes - 9/10
Forgiveness 10/10
Stability on piste (I'm not a speed merchant) 8/10
Edge hold on icy piste 8/10
Learning to ski off piste 10/10 (skis are lightweight and bouncy)
Moguls at a lady-like speed 9/10

Yesterday, we spent most of the time on piste so I took my Volkls instead which are superior to the Legends on piste.

Here ends my technical review.

p.s. Husband skied in Monster 76 and did a reasonable job off-piste. (We're starting to get the hang of it)
