Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Ado

I was considering using Cuneo to go to LA Rosier (FR), put of by the fact you have to cross some high paases , which could close in snow.

How did you get on, did u drive or use a transfer

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

ado, let us know how it was, after all it is the "Alps no. 1 ski airport", according to Mr O'Leary. I'm always interested in the less obvious options when it comes to getting to the Alps.

kendub, If you mean La Rosiere you will not be able to get there from Cuneo or Turin easily. It'd take ages to go around the mountains, as the pass (Col du Petit St. Bernard) you referred to is a piste in winter and therefore you can't drive up it.

Christopher, It is an easy enough drive via the Frejus tunnel, maybe not any cheaper than flying to Geneva though.

From Dublin generally cheap flights with Ryanair to Cuneo, however only one flight a week (Sat). Cuneo near enuf to some Italian resorts, these are low to medium altitude. The high altitude ones (Milky Way) and French ones involve a drive over hi mountain passes
