Oh a***. Yet again, I am defeated by technical stuff. I am not a luddite, honestly. I can turn lights on, make sounds come from CD players and fervently believe that electricity is something to do with physics and not magic, but ask me to post an image on this site and all power seeps from my talentless fingers. I pitifully beseech someone who knows what I should be doing to make the above post look beautiful.

I've tried but your own webguru has set your site up with a nice clever mechanism to hide the source of the photo from people like us who might want to show it to people so I've just made the links work instead.

I'd probably better get that changed, given that people like looking at pics rather than www.ndwx klnwdojvbobwdblah blah blah - mind you, you'd actually know what that means...

roga, who did you email - try susan@fall-line.co.uk
The VIP cards will stay valid beyond the end of the year, just so you know.
David Goldsmith, I think they're 'relaxing' into the run-out.

Certainly in line for a fall

roga, we've got a couple of big ones going into Document Snowboard over the next two issues, and we're heading up for a big feature in March(ish) - just talking to Nevis Range yesterday!

Cover 1 is far superior. No competition.

Agreed. Tracks add more interest to the photo.

There are tracks in Cover 2. They're about 50 yards above the top of the photo...

Ah, so a working link is on the Fall Line site...
I'd say the first one - I think the ski tracks in the powder act as a nice counterpoint to the logo.

i've voted for #1.
the crop in #2 is all wrong. If the skier was shifted more to the right a bit, then it'd be different.

I *much* prefer cover 2

can't remember but I sent it to 2 addresses, one a general enquiry another an individual listed on the contacts page, probably a web monkey (if you have any) and I presumed they'd pass it on to someone who could help but they obviously didn't.

Ah cool.
It does say on the card that there's a section of the website that has details of discounts but at the moment there doesn't appear to be one - is that coming?
Thanks for the info.

fallliner, cover 1 - by a country mile
Cover 2 looks like a bloke on a single rowing scull in white-water
David Goldsmith, thanks for those links - way easier

I initially thought that picture 1 was a boarder!

I think cover 2, the track in the first picture is just funky.

The guy's in the classic W.C. Croucher ski position, originated by Walter Closet Croucher in 1973 to celebrate the invention of rear-entry ski boots. You get impressive acceleration in that position, and often a rapid bath or flush.

I'm going to agree with what is sounding like the majority though, cover 1 gets my vote too. I just love the contrast in those sorts of pictures between the pristine snow along the sides of the man-made track (and associated snow debris).

Number 1 and keep it simple and stylish, don't clutter it up with loads of extraneous words.

Pic 1 is better..even if he has got himself in an odd position for the camera...and does indeed look like a boarder at first. Haven't you got another frame in the same sequence to use..?

I think no 2 is a lot more unusual than no. 1. No 1 is a very good photo but not truly special.
