Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Vote on Fall Line's next cover

OK, we can't decide. So you tell us. It's for the issue out in January.

They're both from Alaska, so we expect exact replication of these shots online very soon when you all come back from your holidays there...

Oh, and this is what the current cover looks like - on-sale now.

Oh a***. Yet again, I am defeated by technical stuff. I am not a luddite, honestly. I can turn lights on, make sounds come from CD players and fervently believe that electricity is something to do with physics and not magic, but ask me to post an image on this site and all power seeps from my talentless fingers. I pitifully beseech someone who knows what I should be doing to make the above post look beautiful.

I've tried but your own webguru has set your site up with a nice clever mechanism to hide the source of the photo from people like us who might want to show it to people so I've just made the links work instead.

They are a trice small making any judgement rather difficult - how about some bigger images?

Will the cover (or anything inside) tell us where the heck us subscribers can use our VIP cards coz a few of us are wondering on another thread and I e-mailed you guys weeks ago and never got a reply?!? Smile

Oh, and when is that promised article on Scotland coming? Toofy Grin

fallliner, increasing the dimensions of page heights and widths, in proportion, by a factor of 8:

Cover 1
http://www.fall-line.co.uk/displayimage.php?photo_id=217&width=880&height=1200

Cover 2
http://www.fall-line.co.uk/displayimage.php?photo_id=218&width=880&height=1200

Cover 1 is far superior. No competition.
But the skier's technique is ... diabolical!

I'd probably better get that changed, given that people like looking at pics rather than www.ndwx klnwdojvbobwdblah blah blah - mind you, you'd actually know what that means...

The VIP cards will stay valid beyond the end of the year, just so you know.

David Goldsmith, I think they're 'relaxing' into the run-out.

Ah, so a working link is on the Fall Line site...

I'd say the first one - I think the ski tracks in the powder act as a nice counterpoint to the logo. snowHead

can't remember but I sent it to 2 addresses, one a general enquiry another an individual listed on the contacts page, probably a web monkey (if you have any) and I presumed they'd pass it on to someone who could help but they obviously didn't.

Ah cool.

It does say on the card that there's a section of the website that has details of discounts but at the moment there doesn't appear to be one - is that coming?

Thanks for the info.

Hopefully this March will be as good as last March was up there! snowHead

Personally I don't think votes should be counted unless good technical reasons are given for the choice.... particularly if the voter disagrees with me Wink Wink

Just to be different, I think I prefer Cover 2. Bit more exciting.

The guy's in the classic W.C. Croucher ski position, originated by Walter Closet Croucher in 1973 to celebrate the invention of rear-entry ski boots. You get impressive acceleration in that position, and often a rapid bath or flush.

I'm going to agree with what is sounding like the majority though, cover 1 gets my vote too. I just love the contrast in those sorts of pictures between the pristine snow along the sides of the man-made track (and associated snow debris). snowHead

Pic 1 is better..even if he has got himself in an odd position for the camera...and does indeed look like a boarder at first. Haven't you got another frame in the same sequence to use..?
