Poster: A snowHead
|
hey guys,
Just back from an ace week in val thorens and have realised that i need some goggles with dark lenses as my orange lenses were not shadey enough! I currently have oakley A frames, which fit fine, what other goggles do you know of that fit the G9 well??? Or do you think i should just get a dark lense and swap???
BTW im a poor student so dont really wanna spend loads!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Do you mean like shadey as in the didn't provide enough contrast or shadey as in too much sun?
I'd get a spare lens so you have the orange one for cloudy days. A new reflective lens (known as iridium) would be good for sun.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Dragon DX - perfect fit. Plenty of places selling them online. Here is one shop (though never used them) www.bargainboards.co.uk/productlist.aspx?page=2&SubCat=156 to give you an idea
I am talking about the Dragon DX (for medium/large faces) and don't know how the DXS (for small/medium faces) fits.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

do you know if all snow goggles have a UV400 block on them because thats more important from a health point of view than any coloured lenses?

I've used Oakley Wisdoms (std size) with the G9 and they were OK.
I have a smaller face so I changed to Smith Anthems (supposedly designed for women's faces) and they are good.
Are your A frames a good fit? If so I would buy a replacement lens.
That way you have 2 at your disposal for sunny/not sunny days.

jwhiteley1, slightly pull the frame abart till you see a gap and pop out the lens! THen put the new lense in where the clips Little lines on the frame meet the grove in the lense.
Lenses should be about £40-£80 depending on the lense etc
