Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,

Been to Schladming loads of times but not used any of the ski/board schools before. In March we will have a variety of different lesson requirements for various people in our group.

Anyone got any recommendations for ski and or board schools in Schladming? There seem to be a few options but would love a personal recommendation.

Deliaskis, let me know when you are out this way... be great to meet you!

Sorry though.... no idea about Schladming ski schools....

Have you seen the new ski-to-level multistory carpark?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

flangesax, Feb 28th for a week. We should meet up for a ski or a beer or something? We don't have a car for that week so will be mainly in Schladming itself, but I do want to go back to Zauchensee at the very least, so might do a couple of Amade train/bus day trips as well. I'll pm you the week before to see what you're up to.

No I've not seen the new ski-to-level multi-storey car park, but it sounds so very impressively Austrian! There is one a bit like that in Alpendorf, it was really weird though changing into ski boots in a multi-storey 'indoor' environment. I felt like I was at a shopping centre or something!

Or Zauchensee's butlins/bluwater esque feel...

I will make sure I remember - PM me your numbers!

I was out that way this morning - really good conditions but chuffingly cold! be good to meet!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Took a large mixed ability group to Schladming 2 years ago. Those in our group that took lessons used the Tritscher ski school - none had a great experience. Lessons take place in Rohrmoos, a short bus ride away. Groups seemed poorly organised and most had quit by the end of the week. Maybe they have improved, but it might be best to try someone else. Overall though, Schladming was great, I'd go back any time.

mcleak, thanks for feedback on Tritscher, it's just as useful to know where not to go as where to go. It looks like there are only three options, so I will strike them off the list!

flangesax, will pm you.
