Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just got the info through from the chalet co for our trip at the end of Jan, and it includes the following line:
Quote:

We would also recommend that all guests add the extra Carre Neige insurance to their ski pass – this is a relatively small amount for complete peace of mind and some costs for rescue services and loss of/use of ski pass offered by the mountain are only covered by this extra insurance.

Good for them!

And don't forget to apply for an EHIC card if you have one Speaking from our recent experience it was a relief that almost everything was covered at the French hospital, the rest is being dealt with by our insurer. The only fee I have paid was 30€ to the doctor at the bottom of the pistes.

Helen Beaumont, We do all have EHIC cards, and E111 before those, but your experience prompted me to check we have them in place for our trip in a couple of weeks. Just as well - I could only find 2 out of 4, and they had just expired Shocked Have now rewned online, which took 5 minutes, and new ones are en route. Thank you! Glad to see things are settling down Chez Beaumont (other thread) and hope you've had - and enjoyed - your scream Little Angel

Anniepen, once I have sorted things out, and made the claim, I will also post about our insurance experiences, which so far has been mainly positive.
