Poster: A snowHead

Morning Snowheads - All this cold weather has put me and a mate in the mood for a cheeky 3 day trip before our annual 7 day one in March.
So was wondering if anyone knows of any deals going - preferbably would like to fly out late Thursday and get back late Sunday. Don't mind where, just got to keep the budget below £300 per person including flights. I don't mind arranging own flights and transfers.
h
Any ideas ?

2leftfeet, Radstadt is a quiet town, but the surrounding ski area is awesome, 45 min transfer, and very cheap food and drink. If you time the fights right you will 3 full days skiing in. Not for the party animals but the perfect set up for maximising slope time. He even took our gear back to the hire shop to maximise ski time .
I have booked for me and 3 mates to return on 8th Harch for 5 nights.

Thanks snowheads, that sounds fab going to discuss with my mate tonight.
Would it be better to fly to Salzburg or Innsbruck and what airline ?

You'll need to Register first of course.

2leftfeet, Easyjet (Gatwick) and Ryanair (Stansted) fly to Salzburg. BA (Heathrow) or Austrian (Heathrow via Vienna) to Innsbruck. Beyond that, you'll end up flying from somewhere outside of London. There are also flights to Geneva from City Airport with Swiss, if you're not fixed on Austria.
The key question is whether you can get flight times to maximise your slope time. 6am flights on Friday can work well, and save you a night's accommodation, but you'll lose the morning by the time you get to the resort and sort out passes and kit.

Also have a look at Les Coches/La Plagne with http://www.mountainsunltd.com/
Lots of us on here have been with the company before and had a good time.

2leftfeet, Innsbruck better as IMO better resorts close by - St Anton, Ischgl, Solden are all around 1 hour away. easyjet do Innsbruck too

We have availability at our apartment in Serre Chevalier between the 11th and 22nd January, had sort of hoped to use it for a sneaky break ourselves, but that is now out of the question. Minimum of three nights stay. Flights to Turin from Stansted, Gatwick or Luton. PM me if you want more details.

i prefer salzburg - ski amade resorts cheap and good for 3 days, lots of snowmaking and ryanair flight are not as bad as their rep and supremely cheap. been to schladmin and radstadt - both excellent for a short break. aj xx

I'm interested in Radstadt now....
Can you tell me ...is it worth going there at the end of March? Is there enough snow? I'm trying to plan a 3-4 day cheap trip somehwhere but am limited to these dates.
Thanks

MelC72, if the snow is poor in Radstadt then you can ski/bus to Zauchensee
