I have just booked a transfer to Flaine for 4 adults and the best price I could find was from http://www.skishuttles.com/ . If you are a Ski CLub UK member you get a further 10% off. Worked out at about £270.

The holidayautos option could be your best bet. The taxi price list in our accommodation in Flaine last week was about 160 Euro one way, so the prices don't look too mad that you have been quoted. We [2 of us] got a small car [207] through holidayautos for about £200, paid about £25 for petrol and £28 [4 euro a day] for the car parking in Flaine - didn't find Carroz free parking, though there is some! Was useful to stuff the car with food shopping at Cluses.

gmcparl1,
Agree with MarjMJ, would get yourself a motor. We normaly use AutoEurope, but Holiday Autos cost about the same. We've paid £147.00 for 4 days Sunday to Wednesday for a Midsize estate, Mondeo size.
Good Luck

I've got to ask how did you miss it?
Assuming you drove from the A40 to Flaine you must have passed through Les Carroz...........did you miss the car park on the right hand side in front of L'Arbaron hotel (possibly 200 spaces) and if so how about the 700+ spaces at the Molliet chair both of which are on the main road from to Flaine............................. not to mention the small one on the RHS as you enter the village or the 1200+ at the telecabin!!
They're hardly hidden away!!

MarjMJ, Free parking is on the way down to the ice driving, it is sometimes interesting for cars with summer tyres when getting out of it............or those with winter tyres and a rear wheel drive car reversing out of my parking place on ice as i did 2 years ago (had left chains at our place in les carroz........ )

You know it makes sense.

carroz, it was scary enough getting out of P3 with normal tyres! You have to do these things though. Character building
