Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is this good value?!!! - 3 Valleys

Hi

I would be interested to know if people thought the the ski saver pack in the following link was good value?

http://www.inghams.co.uk/ski/FRA/MER/SkiersInfo.html

It is £394. It includes a 3V pass which would be E225 and 6 days lessons with ESF in Meribel which I priced online would be E159. Not sure how much boots and ski hire would be for a week? But with the Euro at the moment I thought it might be quite good value.

Any expert opinions would be gratefully received!

Cheers.

ragski, you're not going to be able to rent superior skis for €10, so yes it's a good deal. But only if you were going to need all 3 anyway.

If you're a beginner, you might not need the full 3V pass, if you're not a beginner you might not want to be stuck in ski school all week. Only you can decide.

The pre-bookable 3V lift-pass at £201 is definitely a good idea though, if you're going to need it anyway.

PS: the deal says it doesn't include the boots, so if you were going for the pack, I suppose you would need to find out if they were going to sting you for those as you'll be pretty much stuck with getting them from the same place as the skis.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Kit hire will definitely be more than a tenner (I'd guess around 80 Euros) so looks worthwhile to me.

Boots alone seem to be £36 Shocked or £28 - that seems a lot to me, but I haven't hired for a while so not sure of the going rate Puzzled

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That seems a very good deal, there are a lot of good deals around, maybe its the credit crunch. I went to slovenia with Inghams 2 years ago and can't fault them, it was as advertised. I'm off to Les menuires for the second year running in February but it has cost about £1000 extra for my family of 4 because of the exchange rate for euros. We booked everything earlier in the year and just paid deposits so we have just had to pay the balance, which has rocketed because it is in euros. Ah well its worth every penny. BTW I have just created my first blog about Les Menuires and would like to invite everybody to post or just look around. The site is in its infancy and I will be updating it every few days with info such as what runs to do in the mornings, best places to eat etc.
It can be found at http://lesmenuiresski.blogspot.com/
Thanks
Iain
