Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Nordica Supercharger boots

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm looking at some new boots for this year. Tried on a few pairs today, and most comfortable off the shelf was the Nordica Enforcer Supercharger. like these: http://www.shopkirkwood.com/nordica-enforcer_1.aspx

Looks like it will do the trick for a high-end go anywhere boot. Has anyone got any experience of these? I think they were called "Hot Rods" prior to 08.

Also I see there's a "blower" model which has a flex of 135 v 100 for the Supercharger. I ski pretty much anywhere, straight down approach, and more "old-fashioned" short turns both on/off piste rather than wide carving. Can bash down the moguls but only go for 1, maybe two weeks a year these days, so legs can run out of juice towards end of the week.

Boots i have now are Technicas with full foam conformable inners, but 8 years old. They feel stiffer (and heavier) than the Superchargers, but no idea what their flex index is! I'm guessing that the Superchargers are going to be stiff enough.., would that be right?

Thanks

footsoldier, I just bought the Blower with a flex of 130. I had trouble flexing my old beginner boots but the fit of the boot seems to make a hell of a difference as to how well you can pressure the cuff. I am a 73k guy at 5'10" so am fairly light weight yet these new boots seem to flex brilliantly for me.
