Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

All booked up, not to La Rosiere but to Kitzbuhel on January 17, in a ski in-out catered chalet, en-suite room for a little under £500 including insurance and a Newcastle flight too. Back to Austria after 5 years! Shocked snowHead

RichardB, that wouldn't be Chalet Karlberger would it...?

If so, that's where I holidayed last season. The chalet is basic but warm and comfortable and the chalet hostess was brilliant. It's not really ski-in, ski-out unless there is snow at valley level, but the Hahnenkamm bubble lift is just a short stagger down the hill. You'll have a great time as I did last March...

queen bodecia, yep thats the one and there is snow in the valley at the moment, this could change though, I've been to Kitzbuhel before and I have a rough idea where it is, I believe it is very close by to where I stayed before, Hotel Haselsberger, I'm loooking forward to see how I handle the terrain this time as I was just a 2nd year skier that time! snowHead

The ski area was perfect for me. There were only two runs, both black (38 and 69) that I didn't feel confident on. Plus you can get to Westendorf/Ski Welt at Aschau. Plenty to keep you amused for the week. Can't remember the chalet hostesses name, but she's a fun Irish lass and a demon karaoke singer!

queen bodecia. the memory I can recall was skiing down to Kirchberg as part of a ski school group, heavy fog at the top but got suddenly clear as you got closer to the bottom. The tow rope at the bottom of the nursery slopes was murder on my arms, I hated it more than the T-bars! Mad

It is also the resort I managed to turn 180 degrees (without meaning to!) on the approach to a chairlift station! Confused Laughing

queen bodecia, I'd be fairly surprised if the chalet hosts/hostesses in any given chalet run by major tour ops remain the same from one year to the next.

Great that yours were good, but no guarantee Richard will get the same one(s).

Fair point, but I do know the two lasses were in the same chalet the season before last too. But could all be different this season of course...
