Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cervinia - Transfer time from Geneva

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We have booked an Easyjet flight to Geneva which lands at 9.50am on Saturday 28th March. Our prefered resort is Cervinia but only if we can get some skiing in on Saturday afternoon. We usually book a private transfer.

Realistically, how long will the journey take?

Two hours if you are lucky, probably more depends on how long you have to queue for to go through Mont Blanc tunnel. A transfer from Geneva to Cervinia will cost a fortune. You would have been better off flying to Turin or Milan.

spalding,

Typically you go Mt B tunnel which carries a premium charge...and it takes upto 90 minutes to get to Cervinia from there...so I'd put the time at 2 and half hours in a car...maybe quicker.

There is a new road which through Aosta which should cut your time down. No escaping about 40 mins up the hill from Chantillon though as it a narrow mountain road in places.

Indeed... At least that on a Saturday as the world and his Italian wife drive up at the weekends...

Much as I love Cervinia, it's a poor choice for some who's landed at GVA and wants to ski ASAP
