Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Prices were coming down all week. I had email from Crystal on 17th saying prices were from £249 pp. On 18th, I looked online and, it was about £200 and on 19th, when I posted, £149...

You would have to have lot of nerve to hold until the day before, but if you don't mind where you go and you have your bags packed...

I had booked the leave early on but then cancelled with the high early prices, I'm wishing I'd held my nerve.... so now I've got a week in VT booked for the 10th, and I've paid more for flights than I could have got christmas chalet caterered with those last minute deals... Sad

WayneC, sorry to hear you missed out.

I bagged one yesterday for £217 for Jan 3rd, chalet in Canazei on the Sella Ronda in Italy and pre-booked lift passes at a 'subsidized' €1.20=£1 exchange rate.

I didn't have the nerve to hang on til the day before. I did it once, best deal I've ever had, £119 for a 4* chalet in Belle Plagne in '03.

But this time I really wanted to go back to the Sella Ronda. I noticed that some of the rooms were disappearing while I was pondering it, so I jumped. At well under half price it's a good deal! And very little to have to spend € on once we're there! Very Happy

WayneC, there'll be more bargains, the Beeb said on the news today that March bookings were looking bare at the moment. I'll set a date in stone and then only book 2-3 weeks before departure. I bet a lot of people are doing the same.
