When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tanja Poutiainen (Finland) had her eighth career Alpine World Cup win and third in giant slalom, at La Molina (Spain) on Saturday. It was also her fourth podium spot of the season. Italy's Manuela Moelgg came second, and Nicole Hosp (Austria) was third.
In Sunday's slalom, Maria Riesch (Germany) had her first World Cup slalom win in over 4 years. Lindsey Vonn (US) came second and reclaimed the lead in the overall standings. Kathrin Zettle (Austria) came third.
...In the men’s Alpine World Cup races this weekend, Swiss Carlo Janka won the giant slalom in Val d'Isere (France), his first World Cup win. Massimiliano Blardone (Italy) was second and Gauthier De Tessieres (France) came in third.
Janka also won the super-G portion of Friday's super combined, which was won by Benjamin Raich (Austria). Jean-Baptiste Grange France came second with Austria’s Marcel Hirscher, collecting third.
The men’s slalom was cancelled on Sunday because of safety reasons due to bad weather. It will now take place in Val Gardena in Italy on 17th December.
