great vids - we used to ski on Box Hill on a heavy frost, but the grass there is very short.

While we patiently wait for the snow to return, here is the latest paragliding offering from Gordie Oliver, taken from Skiddaw on News Years Eve.

Raise should be open again on Friday and hopefully over the weekend.
There is a lot of snow building up with a general cover of 1m across the two main runs and much deeper drifts in places. Much of the snow fencing is now buried

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Looks like the cool down is now arriving late Monday.
Raise should be well placed to benefit from the first new snows next week. Its still hanging onto a good base. At Yad Moss and Weardale it's be starting more or less from scratch.
Hopefully the 'home' season has still got lots more skiing days left in it yet

Sideshow,
Not very often. Once every four or five years ?
It was skied last March or April and it has been skied this year along with quite a few other lines. It really needs a heavy fall of snow from the south followed by a cold spell to allow some build up.
You can get an idea of how steep it is from this picture. The pure line begines with your back against the trig point !

Arno, 55 degrees is getting to my limit unless perfect conditions, i suspect on a board it would be one turn and you arrive at the bottom literally on your bottom

I think it's not necessarily the steepness or narrowness, more the potential killer rocks/boulders under the surface that would make it an awkward ski/board.
