Hello, This is my first time using a forum so I'm clueless.
I have found a fab catered chalet in Les Gets France and need to find at least one buddy to share room. I dont have much choice of dates 15/03/09 or 22/03/09 are best for me. checkout their website if you like. http://www.thechaletexperience.com/index.php
I can probably only afford the essentials chalet, still really lovely, hot tub/sauna, and unless your plain greedy, I am sure will be amply well fuelled for each days ski. They also include airport transfer. If you get 3 or 4 people then 3rd and 4th places are half price so it reduces the cost for everyone.
So Anyone want to come? sorry, you need to be 'a lady' I am intermediatish skiier, like reds and the odd bit of black, early 40 something, going on twenty something, fit (I mean physically) an' just wanna ski an' crash out with a glass of vino by the log fire. I dont mind skiing by myself if that suits you.
Hubby cant come cos (relieved, just got a new job) and wont take holiday for ******** knows how long!
Please someone help
Ps need to book soon to get cheap flight with a well known low cost airline. And must book time off at work before everyone else does.

Can't do that, but if it is the company you are seeking I have a trip going to LDA 14/3 mostly ladies (of a similar age;)) of varying standards who mostly will be taking a 2-hr lesson each day. See link in my sig.

youngeratheart, I'm not directly involved in the Les 2 Alpes trip but can (without any commercial interest) thoroughly recommend that trip - excellent tuition and should be some good company.

youngeratheart, Welcome to snowheads. It's not what you were talking about, but there are a group of (mostly) ladies coming here the week of 15th see http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=40861 You don't have to have lessons, and although most are staying in B & B, a couple are staying in a hotel with sauna and jacuzzi etc.

gamekeeper, Yes same company but different chalet, chalet Novalin is where the do the essentials package which I believe is new this year. Did you get local area ski pass or the whole area, there is quite a big price difference. What do you recommend for an intermediate?

gillymurray, mags, I don't know if the trip in this post is on or not, but the one to Les Deux Alpes (7th-14th and 14th-21st March) is on and there is still some availability. It is based at a well recommended budget hotel for the sake of cost, but some people are staying in other hotels. There are small group lessons at various levels available as well as good company with skiers of all levels from total beginner upwards. There are more details in the thread linked to in my sig below. If you might be interested the best thing to do is to contact Easiski directly either by PM or email (See www.easiski.com)

Thanks Gilly
Thanks for the email.
I have not yet got my head round this site.
I can pay for more than budget - just keen to be in a group for skiing at various levels and socialising during meals etc.
Not bothered about lessons - am as good as I ever going to be !
are you going/ Which dates? The later date would suit me better, probably

mags, Hi I have now booked with thechaletexperience (i dont know how to put in a proper link, but if you google it you will find it) on the 15/03/09 for a week at the Novelin room 3 looks really comfey and cosy. They are now offering solo skiers any week, any chalet same price as for two sharing. You might or might not end up sharing, depending on how many bookings they get.
I followed a link on another forum dedicated to solos, they are well recommended. There is a specific solo week in another of their chalets but I have chosen the Novelin cos its small only 8-11 guests, and less fancy cooking. Just my preference.
So far its just me, although my brother is showing some interest. Not exactly a group! yet!
Ps bad memory forgot I managed to put a link in the opening post, thanks to patient hubby
