When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Leysin village is at 1,270m and main runs between 1,800 and 2,200m.

At the end of last week (5dec08) we had had 52cm of new snow around 1,300m, giving around 72cm in total at resort level. Light continuous fall today, with temp. between -5C and -7C.

Forecasting 18cm over next 24hrs with temps. dropping to -8C, light fall on Friday and 70% clear skies on Saturday.

Lift system opens at the weekend with kids free and adults at SFr 20/day - unusually generous!

Light to moderate snow has been continuous for 18 hours, giving about 15 cms of new snow at 1,300m (resort level). 100% cloud cover, and temp. -2C.

Forecast is partial clear skies tomorrow (Thursday) so conditions should be excellent.
