Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

US Immigration not impressed by Vail's 'cultural exchange program'

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
US immigration officials have blocked the plans of Vail in Colorado to hire 400 foreign ski instructors under a 'cultural exchange programme' - a technique used by enterprises such as Disneyland to comply with visa restrictions that otherwise ban overseas workers.

The resort's needs are urgent this winter, because many regular foreign workers have been blocked from returning to the resort.

This report from Global Visas.

Are you prepared to wear a Mickey Mouse ski suit to work as an instructor in Vail? (I made that question up - it's rubbish)
What cultural contribution could you make to a leading American ski resort?

Shame for American workers that it is only ski instructors that they block.

Should do the same to many more. Indian IT workers are one example. Border controls have been more or less given up.

Britain has been ordered to follow suit, so we get the same situations occurring.

Quite right. Our investigative team and fact-checking desk have been working on this story for the past 12 months.

You mean we can't employ 400 Argentinian ski instructors at Cairngorm?
