Matchstick Productions: CLAIM
Really good movie, one of this year's best. Will get you super stoked. Snow and Rock in Covent Garden have them in stock still.
Or if you can find it, Poorboyz Ski Porn is still one of the best in my opinion.

"Believe" starring Tanner Hall is my favourite from last year. It's a bit short, but fecking spectacular from start to finish.
Haven't seen "Claim" yet, but looks good judging by the footage shown on Rush HD during the making of it.

arv, That looks good, last year's TGR effort was great too and it went on forever with tons of bonus clips too.

I bought a Warren Miller box set at the ski show and am currently working my way through that. I wouldn't say any of them was bad!

Of the recent ones, Claim and Believe as mentioned above are both amazing.
If getting only one and if you like a bit more freeride than tricks, then I'd get Steep. The Uk release is on 26/12 I think but it comes with Blizzard of Ahhs on a bonus disc and it's cheap on Play.com.
You can find clips of good bits from these on You Tube to get the flavour.

Not DVD's I know but you can't have too much stoke. More on-line (legit) content, the Hunting Yeti episodes from Nimbus are fun.

You are so right! Glen Plake in all his insane glory bouncing over couloirs in Chamonix. Still the best ski film I've seen.
Every should have a copy!

I've bought both 'Claim' and 'Under the Influence' this year and they are both very good. I am a big fan of TGR but I would say Claim just edges it, it has a certain esprit de cor that UTI doesn't have. For me the best ski movies are the ones that have deep pow and kicking soundtrack to go with it. It's these songs that enter your head when you're on a quiet chairlift and they're the ones you start humming as you make you early bird fresh turns. For this reason I would recommend 'Anomoly' and 'The White Album.' These two are the best movies I've seen, the soundtracks are awesome and the extra 'Japan Trip' on Anomoly is the one of best DVD extras that will really get you psyched up for the season ahead.
There are other great ones out there, you usually see them in the bars during the apres, I always spend more time watching them than chatting with my mates. One that springs to mind is 'Push' by Matchstick Productions. I can remember standing and watching that film with no sound in a very busy club in Morzine while everybody danced around me.

aw-hicks, Seven Sunny Days is SO good, I loved that one as well, Hell Yeah was also brilliant, some dude does a barrell roll over a road at like a million miles and hour, its insane!!!
The best Freebie I ever got was when I bought some Peak Performance clothes, it had this bit about the feeling when you clip into to your ski's for the first time for the season, its cool, really captures the excitement leading up to that moment and all the fun you have from that point on.
