Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kirkwood Mountain Resort in CA has installed two new lifts for this season opening up previously hike only terrain to the less energetic and giving lift access to some amazing terrain. Is it a high speed quad, a six pack, a bubble chair with heated padding, a gondola.... no it's something a bit more humble and proof what you get to go down is a damn sight more important than how you get up.

Kirkwood's new Look Out Vista T-bar barred up and ready for the 2009 season, now just add some snow. Pretty crazy lift line!

Where is that - up the ridge over the cirque from the top of 2?

I suspect the locals won't be happy - does another run above the wave?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yup basically, there is still a small bit of upwards hike/skating required to get to the T-bar so not to interfere with getting between chairs 2 and 3. It provides access to the Chutes in Thunder saddle that you had to hike up to from either side (chair 2 or 4). Think there is mixed feelings amongst regulars, some are unhappy that it's been lifted, others are delighted - I think the fact that it's a T-bar will act as something of a filter as well.

The other is a button or Poma and it's going up from the area above the Wave up the crest there to give better access to further out on Fawn Ridge. The Look Out Vista T-bar is going to take some battering from the wind though!

Yep I'd be against I think though I'm only a passing punter- those chutes will get totally raped on a powder day where previously you could mosey along at midday and still find something decent with a bit of poling. Plus the length of time to do a 2/3 lap was a massive deterrent.
