Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We did the bobsleigh run in La Plagne earlier this year; it was absolutely brilliant and I'd highly recommend it.

I reckon it's the La Plagne one, don't know of any others.

You could keep the 92 Olympic theme and have a go on the ski jump in courchevel, dont worry if you crash on your first try because they'll give you a second go for free!!!! Laughing

Yes, the La Plagne one is the only one in France - or anyway the only one in a ski resort.

Lillehammer opens in the Summer - runs on wheels on the bare concrete, and doesn't go that much slower. Been down it. Great fun.

....or the one at the Olympic Park in Calgary - the bobsleigh track is next to the jump where Eddie the Eagle did his stuff.

seriously want to do this one year. We watched the world cup bobsleigh in La Plagne a few years back and it was fantastic, the sheer power and size of the guys is amazing and the coordination to get 4 mahoosive blokes into something the size of a bathtub is staggering. Wanted to do a taxibob to get a good sense of speed Smile

There is one in Cesana Torinese in the Via Lattea (ski area) in Italy, which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympic bobsleigh. The ski area is on the Franco/Italian border. A delightful ski area.

I did the taxibob with the driver in 2004, great fun Very Happy . Went back a year later with a different group of people and they were not offering that option (due to health and safety !) and would only do the raft bob version. Maybe they have sorted their health and safety issue out now ?
