Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm looking at going for a few nights before Christmas. Could anybody recommend a nice hotel - good food. Ta. Is it a couple of hours from Geneva?

erica2004, the Sertorelli is lovely, and they take bookings for odd nights... I've only ever travelled from Turin, but the I would say 2 hours from GVA sounds right - maybe a little more. You mean by taxi?

erica2004, I personally would'nt stay at the Breuil again unless its changed hands (unlikely) as I had a tough stay there a while ago, there is possibly still warrant out for me in the Val D'Aosta after a dispute over bar bill and their addition ability. There is however a fabulous (no it really is this time erica2004, Very Happy ) hotel at the end of the street, very glamourous place known as the very best place to stay in Cervinia but I'll have to leave it to someone else to come up with the name at this point. I travelled from Turin also, I thing GVA could be a little longer than two hours. We drank in the White Rose which was fun and great music and at a small bar near the ice rink that was very lively.

I stayed at the Petit Palais which is just overlooking the main lift station. Not sure if they take individual day bookings as at the time it was a Neilson club hotel.

Spent most evenings in a Welsh pub and nightclub. (from what i can remember!) Confused

GVA to La Thuile took me two hours last time. GVA to Cervinia in 2 is optimistic, unless you're chartering a helicopter.

2:30 minimum. Budget for 3 hours.
